The Congregation of the Holy Family came to England in 1903 and to Ireland in 1967.

Presently the Congregation of the Holy Family has three houses in England and two in Ireland. We also nurture the hope of a future foundation of the Holy Family in India.

Our Central House is in Stockwell, London where the sisters are heavily involved in various parishes in the locality as well as running a Scripture Group, a Women’s Group and providing hospitality to various other causes such as Marriage Preparation Days. A second house in Stockwell welcomes asylum seekers and provides space for Marriage Counselling.

Our third house in England is in the coastal town of Exmouth. The sisters have been present there for over one hundred years and again are very involved in parish activities as well as being a prayerful presence in the local catholic community.

We have two communities in Ireland: The Tullamore house is situated alongside our former nursing home where many of our elderly Irish sisters have had care. Presently five Sisters are resident there and they are visited daily by the four Sisters who make up the Tullamore Community.

The Knock community are present in a retirement village in the Shrine of Knock, a place where many people come on pilgrimage. The sisters are involved in various village activities and in helping out at the Shrine.
