A Knock, en Irlande, les Sœurs et les laïcs Sainte Famille ont organisé une messe pour nos Sœurs aînées et les résidents de la toute nouvelle maison de santé. C’était la première eucharistie à être célébrée dans cet établissement flambant neuf. N’est-ce pas la Providence qui a fait que ce soit justement pour la sainte Émilie ? Nous sommes intimement persuadées que c’est notre Sainte Patronne qui nous a trouvé cette maison alors que nous étions en recherche de places pour nos Sœurs les plus âgées.

Sr. Mary Manning sont en accord avec toutes les autres résidentes pour dire que cette maison de santé est merveilleuse. C’est formidable d’être si près de ce coin béni d’Irlande.
La communauté de Stockwell en Angleterre a, quant à elle, été enchantée de recevoir un énorme bouquet de fleurs des élèves de l’école Corpus Christi pour la fête de Sainte Émilie. Chaque année, l’école se rassemble à cette occasion pour rendre grâce pour l’aide financière que les Sœurs de la Sainte Famille avait fournie il y a quelques années. Il y a une bannière de Sainte Emilie dans leurs classes et pour sa fête, elles entreprennent une action en son nom. Cela peut consister, par exemple, à apporter de la nourriture à une banque alimentaire pour les pauvres et les affamés.
We were delighted that in Knock (Ireland) the sisters along with the lay staff organised a Mass for the elderly sisters and other residents in the new Nursing Home where our sisters are now resident. It was the first time that a Mass was celebrated in this new home and we feel it was so providential that it was on Saint Emilie’s special Day. We are fully convinced that she found this home for us when we were so needy of a new place for our sisters.
Sr. Francis O’Mahoney and Sr. Mary Manning along with the other sisters are all in agreement that the new Nursing Home at Knock is wonderful. It is lovely to be near so near this holy shrine of Ireland.
The Community at Stockwell (England) were delighted to receive a large bouquet of flowers from the pupils of Corpus Christi School for the feast of Saint Emilie. Each year the school has a special Assembly on Saint Emilie in thanksgiving for the financial assistance the Holy Family Sisters gave to the school some years ago. They have a banner of Saint Emilie in their class and on the feast take some action in Saint Emilie’s name such as bringing food to a food bank for the poor and hungry.
